Highlight a press article with lines and polygons in Click2Map Editor

Tutorials - December 4, 2014

Following an article published in the French newspaper Le Figaro (the 10 most expensive shopping streets across the world), we created the map below to highlight this press article with Click2Map.

From the first to the last shopping streets quoted, we’ve drawn lines or polygons with the editor.

You definitely wonder how to draw lines and polygons with Click2Map? Follow these different steps.

1/ New line

‘Drawing’ menu > ‘New line’ option

Start your line by clicking on the map and click again on the desired point. If you need to draw a line with multiple segments, click on your map as many times as you need to add new ones. To end you drawing, double-click on the map at the desired location for the final point.

A dialog box then appears to let you change the weight, opacity and the color of your line.

Enter a title and an optional description for your drawing.

 2/ New Polygon

‘Drawing’ menu > ‘New polygon’ option

Click on the map to build your polygon and repeat this operation. To end your drawing, click on the polygon's first point.

A dialog box then appears to let you change the weight, opacity and the color of your polygon.

Enter a title and an optional description for your drawing.

Tips: you can activate ‘Drawings edition’ mode by checking the button at the right of the Editor window. It allows you to directly modify the outline and the shape of your drawings.
