Frequently Asked Questions
What is Click2Map?
Click2Map is an online tool designed to let you create your own maps, publish them and share them with your customers, colleagues, friends and relatives. Click2Map's map editor uses the same look and feel as standard desktop applications: if you've ever used software, Click2Map's menus, toolbars and buttons immediately look familiar.
What can I do with Click2Map?
Click2Map allows you to create professional online Google maps quickly and efficiently. Maps can then be published as web pages and shared, or as widgets that can be embedded in existing websites. Click2Map lets you determine what information should be visible on your maps, and what interactions with visitors should be authorized.
Existing customers currently use Click2Map to maintain and publish maps of multiple sorts: customers/suppliers tracking, points of interest, maintenance records, wildlife, conservation, marketing, demographics, real estate, shops/stores, planning applications, impact assessments, market research, travel and tourism, etc.
Is Click2Map free?
The Bronze version of Click2Map can be used free of charge for as long as you wish, without any time limitation. The Trial version of Click2Map can be used for free for 30 days: it's the ideal solution if you wish to test all the most advanced Click2Map features.
Professional plans start as low as $9 per month and offer numerous advanced features and functionalities like widget publication, map statistics, database support, template engine, etc.
What is a marker?
A marker represents a geographical location on a Click2Map map: it works like a pin on a paper map used to indicate a particular place. Markers are much better than metal pins because you can attach as much information to them as you wish: clicking on a marker opens an information window that can be used to display text information, pictures, videos, etc.
How many maps and markers can I create?
Click2Map lets you create as many maps and as many markers as you wish. There's no limitation.
How can I remove the advertisement banner on my maps?
Maps published with the Bronze plan include an advertisement banner. To remove it, you need to upgrade your account and purchase a Silver subscription.
How can I try all the Click2Map features?
The Trial version of Click2Map lets you test all the features and functionalities available in the most advanced Platinum version for 30 days, for free!

Is it possible to import my own data in Click2Map?
The Gold and Platinum Click2Map plans include an advanced import/export engine that allows you to import existing data and automatically generate the corresponding markers. This is a huge time-saver and productivity feature!
What does "geocoding" mean?
Any place on Earth can be precisely located by its latitude and its longitude (expressed in degrees, minutes and seconds): “geocoding” is simply the name given to the process of converting a standard address into the corresponding latitude and longitude. For example, the Empire State Building's geocoded address is: 40° 44' 54'' N / 73° 59' 9'' W.
But don't worry: Click2Map does the geocoding for you!
How can I embed a map created with Click2Map on my web site?
Depending on your subscription plan, Click2Map maps can be published in two different ways: as standard web pages or as widgets.
A Click2Map map published as a web page can be embedded in an existing web page as a standard iframe.
Click2Map widgets can be embedded in existing web pages by simply copying and pasting the widget code provided by Click2Map.
How can I inform visitors of my web page when new markers are published?
Visitors who wish to be informed in real time of the changes made to your maps can subscribe to the RRS feed associated with each map.
